We all have had a rough  year dealing  with the Covid 19.  Our dojo schedule for karate and our our Fit2Fight classes have been been changed to individual training.

Since the early 2020, we have been teaching only private classes for our members.  With the situation on the ground evolving, and with no certain timeline a return to regular dojo operations, we are adopting a new 2021 schedule and system of training.  We hope that is system will satisfy our current members and provide a situation where both old members and new members feel safe returning to or joining the Coal Mountain Karate School.

Starting February 1, 2021, our new schedule will be:

1. General training for all members on Monday and Thursday evenings (6 to 7:30pm). Training will be held in our new private dojo at 3790 Smith Lane. We are changing to a members only club or dojo format.

2. We will also have general training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:30 - 9 am.

3. We will continue to provide one weekly private training class for all dojo members. All new members will receive one on one individual instruction until ready to move into our club general training schedule.

In order to maximize everyone's safety, we are implementing the following dojo protocols:

1.  Please plan to arrive no later than 15 minutes before any scheduled training. Myself or sensei Alan will open the door to the dojo one person at a time.

2.  Parents or visitors will need to remain outside until directed by the instructors. Unfortunately, we cannot have parents or

visitors coming into the dojo to watch at this time.

3.  Indoor training - members will need to enter one at a time. Go to the directed changing room and go to an assigned spot in either training room one or two. Each member will need to remain in their assigned training area until released by the instructor. At no time should any member come within 10’ of another member.

4.  You may wear a mask during training but under the guidelines of staying 10’ apart at all times there should not be an instance of passing the virus from one person to another.
